THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU to everyone who took on added responsibilities for The Children’s Nativity Pageant and Refreshment Time, the Stacy Stockton Funeral and the Christmas Eve worship service. These special times called on members of the Tech Team, Ushers, Altar Guild, Fellowship Committee, Sunday School teachers, Decorating Crew and office workers to go an “extra mile”. Thank you for your willingness to serve in these ways!

Friday, Jan 9th 6:00 – Soup Supper. Please sign-up on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, Jan 25th – Annual Congregational Meeting following 9:30 worship
OUR NEW WINTER WORSHIP SCHEDULE begins this Sunday, Dec. 28th with one worship service at 9:30 in the Nave. We will follow this schedule until March 29th after which we will resume services at 8:30 & 10:00. The church council unanimously adopted this change of schedule which was recommended by the Worship Planning Team (WPT) for a number of reasons, some of which are –
• doubling the pool of members available to serve as ushers, worship leaders, tech team, etc. for one worship service during the seasonal absence of persons who function in these areas
• bringing the members of the congregation together to have a closer church community prior to the summer months of separation. Refreshments will be served before & after worship.
• a single physical set-up for 3 months (no need to set-up & breakdown the fellowship hall before and after each service)
• time & cost savings
The 9:30 service will be a blend of both the 8:30 & 10:00 services, similar to the SSSS format, but with minor changes. The WPT will be reviewing the service format and make changes as needed during the 3 month time period.
The WPT and council recognize that change is not easy (time of service, place of service, type of worship) but because of circumstances, changes had to be made. We hope that everyone understands this and will join together for the sake of the well being of the Zion Family.
The US FLAG for December is given in memory of Larry by Judy Wyckoff.
Monthly flag dates are still available for 2026. The sign-up sheet is in the Narthex.
